UFOV is a journal about visual attention: what we notice, what sits outside our direct gaze and how to think through visual challenges. Our guides answer a specific question and make room for the limits of what is known.

UFOV and SOPT are connected projects. UFOV focuses on explanations and puzzles; SOPT provides a training app. Links to SOPT are links to our own product, not independent recommendations.

Editorial approach

These guides are written by the team behind the sites. We link to original research and public health institutions where relevant, distinguish evidence from practical examples, and show when an article was updated. The content is educational and has not been presented as a clinical assessment or medical review. Illustrations are illustrative, not diagnostic.
